Photo Fun!

This is me and Naphers hanging out before we went to dinner with friends. He didn't keep the shoes on for long...but they were pretty cute.

Naphy and Daddy being cute.
It was a nice day so we headed to the beach. This is what we got when we got there....FOG!
But Nathan loved it and we stayed and played anyway.
He ran around and around and around and around....

My near future and recent past!!

Things happening in the near future:
-meeting mom, Bob and Shealee in Florence for a funfilled day.
-go to Albany for Shane and Cheurisya's wedding.
-Nathan and I will be flying to Utah at the end of the month. This will be Nathan's first time on an airplane and I'm slightly nervous. We are going with my sister, Kelsie and Maggie. Should be interesting!
-Fourth of July festivities...not sure what those will be since we have never experienced the 4th here in the bay.
-Planning for Nathan's first birthday party...can you believe it??? August 25th.

Recent Past:
-a week and a half ago Nathan had a small ear infection. We gave him his five days of antibiotics like good parents. Symptoms haven't gone away so we took him back and now he has a double ear infection. How does that happen???
-Nathan slept for nine hours straight last night. The first time in almost a month. He slept from 7:30pm to 4:30am. Then he slept until 6:45is with me on the couch. That is how we usually end our nights.
-Today we went to Bandon, OR. Fun place. Didn't stay real long but enjoyed all the candy shops.
-Cass has this week off and we love having him home.
-I broke down and got a gym membership. I'm loving it. Watch out hot body, here I come!!!

I think that about sums it up.

First and foremost...

HAPPY FATHERS DAY CASS!!!
I want to share a "tender moment" that Cass doesn't even know almost brought me to tears. Last night we struggled with a very cranky child. After putting him to bed, Nathan woke up a half hour later. So I brought him to the living room and rocked him to sleep AGAIN. After he fell to sleep, I handed him over to Cass so he could go put him in his crib. Cass just looked at Nathan for a second and leaned his head down and kissed Nathans cheek. I don't know why this touched me so much but it did. So thank you Cass for being such a loving, playful and caring dad...we love you!

Things Nathan can do...

Nathan continues to amaze us. He is nine and a half months old already! Here is a little bit about him....

HE WALKS
HE GIVES GREAT KISSES
HE CLAPS
HE WAVES (not the best waving pic but the best we could get)
He also has six teeth...four on top, two on bottom and I think he is about to get one more. He copies everything we do. For example, cough, laugh or moo like a cow. He is eating finger foods all by himself. He wears 12 month clothes. He has the prettiest blue eyes. He loves to be in public to stare at people.
Those are just to name a few. What can we say??? We are proud parents!!!

SHEALEE!!

Tiffani flew my cousin Shealee out from Utah to hang out for a couple weeks. Nathan and I drove four and a half hours over to Redmond to spend a little time with them. It was a long drive but SO worth it. We had a great time. Nathan traveled really well. It was probably because I broke the law by putting him forward facing in his carseat (only two and a half months early!). Anyway, here are a coulple pics from the weekend.

Nathan and cousin Maggie
Such happy campers!!
This was priceless...holding hands in the backseat!!
And this is Shealee...early Tuesday morning!

A little more...

Work went well over the weekend. I basically manned the fort by myself because Judy took they weekend off. She deserved it. It went good. The tips are great and I have to admitt that I think I make really good drinks. Right now I'm really into the hazelnut white choc mocha (iced or hot).
I am desperately needing to exercise. Cass and I were on a running kick and we were running two miles a day. However, after the Memorial day weekend Nathan got sick, then my birthday was Saturday so instead of exercise, we eat left over chocolate cake. So I'm going to water aerobics tonight at the public pool. I hope I like it. If I do, I'll make it a regular thing along with some jogging. My goal is to run in two or three 5K's this summer.
Things are good. Check in later for an update on water aerobics.
