Hooray for Fall and Pumpkin Painting!!

Nathan got excited about the small pumpkins at Wal Mart today so I got him two of them. The lucky kid also got some finger paints and we painted one of his pumpkins tonight. He had so much fun. He only used his one little pointer finger...so cute.

Daddy helped him and Nathan painted the whole thing!
Then he found his belly button and decided to give it a little color...
Then he found daddy's nose...
...it was all fun and games until daddy got hurt!! hehe Nathan painted daddy's eye ball with blue paint! I couldn't stop laughing. We had a good time regardless of this little accident and I can't wait for our next Fall adventure! We are taking Nathan to an awesome pumpkin patch in Eugene in a couple weeks, having a Halloween party with our besties in a few more weeks after that and trick or treating on actual Halloween....who knew Halloween could be so much fun!!!
Hope you feel better Daddy!! hehehe

Fun Festival with Mom and Bob!!

So a couple weekends ago, my mom and Bob drove down for the weekend! I enticed them here with the local Fun Festival festivities! Seriously though, Coos Bay hosts the annual Prefontaine Memorial run...a 10K (6.2 miles) up a huge hill. They call it Agony Hill so you can imagine how tough it was. Anyway, my mom, Cass and I all signed up and on Saturday morning put on our sneakers and headed out for a nice, long, and tough jog. We were all really proud of how we did. For the first time ever, I ran for 6.2 miles straight...with the exception of about 1/4 mile up Agony Hill. It was on the second half of the race and so I was already whooped by the time it was time for the big climb. Anyway, we all finished and were super happy with how we did.

After we finished, we went home, showered up and headed down to the parade. It was Nathan's first parade and he just stared. It was hard to tell what he thought, he looked very focused.
He looks so adorable it this outfit...this was the car ride to the parade. And below is Nathan and Daddy!
When we were done walking through the festival, mom and I dropped the guys off at our place to watch football and nap. We headed out to the mall...good ol' Pony Village! We found some great deal, grabbed dinner and headed home. Our legs were exhausted!! We had such a good time having them visit and hope they do it again really soon.

Stay tuned...I'm running a 5K in a couple weeks and hope to do even better!

Such a great deal!

So I got a Disney movie promotion thing in the mail and if I signed up, I got FOUR disney movies of my choice for only $1.99 each. The agreement is that in the next two years I have to purchase four more movies at regular price and I can cancel my membership after that. HOWEVER, if you buy a fifth movie when you sign up, they knock off five dollars, and a sixth movie for 1/2 price!! They also count toward your four future purchases. SO, the point is, I just got SIX Disney movies for 25.00!!! You can't beat that!! You should go to the Disneymovieclub.com website and do it! Especially if you are a mother or young ones, pregnant, or just love disney movies:) I'm so excited.

Dan Fan!

That's right...I was a Dan fan! If you don't know who he is, he's the winner of Big Brother 10!!

The good things in life!

Here are some things I'm excited for:

-FALL
-taking Nathan to the pumkin patch in October
-planning for the holidays
-making fun, new friends
-I'm going to get certified to teach group exercise classes
-Nathan finally says "mamma" (sometimes). He favors "dadda" and "uh oh"
-The Fun Festival. Me, my mom and Cass are going to run in the Prefontaine 10K...run/walk.
-planning our future...Cass graduates in 7 MONTHS! (actually closer to six)
-I saw a really cute dog this morning:)
-Big Brother 10 is on tonight but the finale is Sunday (so I'm sad that it's ending)
-No worries, I have lots of other reality shows to keep me busy.
-I might see uncle Tom Tom at the end of the month.

There is so much to be thankful for and I'm working so hard on focusing on all the great aspects of life. I really don't have much to complain about...except for student loans...but oh well.

Running Y

This last weekend Tiff and Jared invited us to go with them to the Running Y Resort down in Klamath Falls. We had such a good time. There were so many things for the kids to do and it was nice having four adults around to help with kids. Not to mention that this is where Cass and I got married two years ago. Our anniversary is on the 9th so the timing of the trip was perfect. It's a beautiful place so check it out sometime!

The resort had s'more night on the lodge patio...the location of our wedding ceremony:)

Walking into the sunset.
Happy boy with lots of running room.
Swinging with daddy is fun.
This was the awesome view from our room over looking the golf course. Nathan enjoying the view and the perfect weather.
This is overlooking the deck where we got married.

We had a great time and THANKS to Tiff and Jared for letting us come along. We had such a great time and we can't wait to do it again next year.

What we've been up to...

Well, we haven't been up to much. We had a great Labor day weekend. I worked at the coffee shop on Sunday and Monday and then we headed out to the beach with some good friends for a Labor Day dutch oven dinner. YUM! It was so nice out and we had a good time with everyone.

Nathan keeps on doing funny stuff all the time. I love it. Tonight he pooped in the hallway. We always play a little game of chase right before bath time, but of course he has to be buck naked first. Apparently the timing wasn't that great. Pretty funny though.

Cass is kickin' ass at his externship. The places he works love him and probably a good chance of getting a job when he's done too. Although we are liking it more and more and have met some great people in Coos, we are still unsure where we want to settle down.

I'm just working part time at the gym, a few days at the coffee shop and still doing some things for Terri. When we moved down here I told Cass I wanted a job that was fun and something I enjoyed. Two of the things I wanted to do was work at a fitness center or a coffee shop. I even told Cass that before we moved. NO JOKE... and look, I'm doing both! And working for Terri is just a bonus:) I will sometimes just be walking into the store or driving in my car and be overwhelmed with how lucky and blessed we are.

I can't believe it's already September. I'm looking forward to Fall and the holidays with Nathan this year. He's going to love it and have so much fun. I can't wait.

This weekend we are heading down to the Running Y Resort where we got married. We are going with Tiff and Jared and the girls and we are going to have such a blast. I'll take pictures and post them.

Sorry I'm such a bad blogger.
